Print these flashcards to review at home!
Print, cut and fold OR Print and cut them all out to make a matching game!
Scroll down, as each week's vocabulary is added to the bottom. I'm working on the format to print them to 2 pages the best way, so it may look different each week!
As you may have noticed on tests coming home, the vocabulary is not a matching test. Students need to be able to use, read and understand these words in context. To help your child, make a habit of using these words throughout the week and challenge them to do the same.
Ask your child, " what does the word "meet" mean when I say,"' Will you meet me at the mall?'". or "...'meat' when I say, "'I like extra meat in my sandwich.'" [meet - to get together/meat - ham, turkey, etc.] This helps them practice substituting words and making their own definitions.
These vocabulary skills will help them throughout their life, rather than getting through the Friday test with a matching assignment. We want to develop these skills as much as possible at an early age!
