Greetings, We are off to a great start. My friends are setting goals and meeting ALL expectations! 

READING
Each student is required to take AR Tests based on stories read in and outside of class. Each AR Test counts as 10% towards the weekly average. Please encourage your student to read and take at least four AR tests each week. 
SPELLING
This week we will be decoding words with the Long e and Short e vowel sounds. Please review the spelling list with your student. 
WRITING
We are writing narrative paragraphs. The key to successful narrative paraggaphs is to be descriptive using vivid language and the five senses as resources for GREAT stories. 
GRAMMAR
In grammar we are constructing sentences by diagramming the parts of the sentence and parts of speech that make up the sentence.
