Reading . . . homework is NIGHTLY . . . even Friday, Saturday, and Sunday AND holidays. Students must practice reading in order to improve. During the fall semester we require 20 minutes each night. In the spring students will be required to read 30 minutes each night. If your child is not doing this on a regular basis already, s/he is probably struggling with reading.

Frequently students might need independent practice that is not needed for the whole class. I will contact you if I feel extra practice is needed at home.

Most students will occasionally have that "oops" paper. These are papers that have recieved a failing grade. If your child recieves a grade below 70 you may redo this paper with your child for a passing grade of 75. This will help us make sure no concepts have "fallen through the cracks".
